Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting

Cream cheese frosting with chocolate, confectioners' sugar, milk, vanilla, and cream cheese and butter. Scroll down to see more frosting and icing recipes.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons softened butter
  • 2 small packages (3 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 pound confectioners' sugar
  • 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, melted
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Preparation:

Cream butter and cream cheese; gradually add part of the sugar, alternating with chocolate then milk, until well blended and spreading consistency is reached. Beat in 1 teaspoon vanilla.
Frosts 2 9-inch round layers.
