Southern Jam Cake (Kentucky)October 22, 2008By npdckrsn
"Ah, this was the recipe my grandmother gave me when Granddad developed diabetes. Grandmother told me the story of how they had no sugar during the war and during the Depression how no one could buy anything. Either reason is good enough for trying the recipe again, but I just want you to know that anyone who serves it will REALLY be in a jam to have enough to go around or for seconds and thirds. It goes over great! It is moist and yet has body. Thank you for sharing this old recipe with us."
