- 2/3 cup beef broth or chicken broth
- 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 1 clove of garlic, minced
- 1 scant tablespoon tomato paste
- 4 ribs celery, thinly sliced
- 1 tsp salt
- freshly ground pepper to taste
- chopped parsley
