Ingredients:
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- juice and finely grated peel of 1 large orange
- 1 cup raisins
- 1 cup milk

- Topping :
- 1/3 cup of orange juice
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
Preparation:
Sift together the flour, soda, and salt. Add orange peel, raisins and milk, alternating with flour mixture and ending with the flour mixture. Cream shortening and sugar and eggs together. Combine all ingredients and pour into a floured 13x9x2-inch pan. Bake for 30 minutes at 350°.For topping, drizzle orange juice over the warm cake, then sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon, and chopped walnuts.
