Creole seasoning adds a touch of Louisiana flavor to these great tasting lima beans. Serve with any main dish.

Total Time: 8 minutes

Yield: Serves 6

Ingredients:

  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) stewed tomatoes, broken up
  • 12 to 16 ounces frozen baby lima beans
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1 teaspoon Creole seasoning blend

Preparation:

Combine the tomatoes, lima beans, celery, and seasoning in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 8 to 10 minutes, until the beans are tender.

Serves 6

Good Basic Recipe, Member KathyKC5585

I needed something quick and different and this worked. I used Rotel for the tomatoes to give it a little more snap. I also added ""Better Than Bouillon"" ham base with about an ounce of water. That is my go-to seasoning for any vegetable dish. It amazes me that more cooks don't know about it. Anyway, the final product was very tasty and it didn't take long to make... Always a good combination.
