Cook Time: 55 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1/3 cup elbow macaroni
- 1 1/2 cups milk, scalded
- 1 cup dry bread cubes
- 1/4 cup chopped pimiento
- 1/3 cup chopped celery
- 1 tablespoon minced onion
- 1 1/2 cups shredded American process cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- dash pepper
- 3 eggs, beaten
- crushed potato chips
Preparation:
Cook macaroni in boiling salted water according to package directions; drain. In a large bowl, pour scalded milk over bread cubes; add pimiento, celery, onion, shredded cheese, and seasonings. Mix well. Add eggs and macaroni. Pour into a buttered 10x7-inch baking dish. Top with crushed potato chips. Bake at 325° for 45 to 55 minutes. Cut into squares to serves. Recipe for macaroni and cheese squares serves 6.
