Adjust a little and it's greatJuly 26, 2009By Arlenepines
"The recipe is a little confusing but it is great if you follow my suggestion. Use the ingredients in order. Cook the water, 2/3 c. sugar, cornstarch, mangoes, lime juice for about 20 mins. on low (after you bring to a boil). This will create a more syrup like texture and reduce the water a little. Then pour into a baking dish. I used a square glass dish 9 x 9, Dot with the butter and sprinkle the cinn. sugar mixture. Add the mixture of flour, shortening, 1/3 c. sugar, baking powder, salt & milk - dropping spoonfuls on the fruit. I baked it 35 mins. on 375° . It comes out delicious...enjoy!"
