A Southern drink for sipping on the plantation, or for enjoying while watching the Mardi Gras Parades!
Yield: Serves 6
Ingredients:
- 9 ounces light rum
- 3 ounces fresh grapefruit juice
- 3 ounces fresh orange juice
- 2 ounces grenadine
- 3 ounces dark rum
- garnishes:
- 6 orange slices
- 6 Maraschino cherries
Preparation:
Fill six 12-ounce glasses with ice cubes.
Mix the light rum, grapefruit and orange juices, and grenadine and stir well.
Divide the mixture among the 6 glasses, and spoon 1/2 ounce (about 1 tablespoon) dark rum over the top of each drink. Garnish each with an orange slice and a cherry.
