Diced bacon and finely chopped onion help jazz up these tasty burgers. Use 86% lean beef for best flavor, and cook thoroughly but don't overcook. Serve these burgers with sliced tomatoes, dill pickle slices, sliced onions, lettuce, and condiments. This recipe is easy to double or triple for a crowd!

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 12 minutes

Total Time: 27 minutes

Yield: Serves 4 to 6

Ingredients:

  • 6 slices bacon, cooked, diced
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef, about 85% to 90% lean
  • 3 tablespoons finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • dash ground black pepper
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

Preparation:

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, diced bacon, onion, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Blend well and shape into 5 to 6 burgers. Grill, broil, or pan grill until cooked as desired.

If making cheeseburgers, add cheese the last few minutes and cook until the cheese is melted.

Serves 4 to 6.
