Recipe for tangy meatballs with chopped water chestnuts and lean ground beef, horseradish, garlic powder, and marmalade.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound extra lean ground beef
  • 1/2 cup water chestnuts, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons prepared horseradish
  • 1/2 cup orange marmalade
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup water

"This recipe is wonderful and I've gotten lots of compliments on it. I just use Armour frozen meatballs and then warm up the meatballs in the sauce -- either in the microwave or on top of the stove. This last time I made it I also added a little bit of Major Grey's chutney. Wonderful!"
