Barbecued Meat Loaf with Mushrooms

Tasty meatloaf with barbecue sauce and mushrooms, shared by Harriet.

Ingredients:

1 can (3 to 4 ounces) chopped mushrooms
milk
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
Dash pepper
1 1/2 cups soft breadcrumbs
1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
3 to 4 tablespoons barbecue sauce

Preparation:

Drain the chopped mushrooms, reserving the liquid. Add enough milk to mushroom liquid to make 1/2 cup. In mixing bowl, combine milk mixture, egg, Worcestershire sauce, seasonings, and bread crumbs. Let mixture stand about 5 minutes. Stir in ground beef and chopped mushrooms; mix lightly but thoroughly.

Shape into loaf in a lightly greased 13x9x2 in baking dish. Bake at 350° for 1 hour.

Brush barbecue sauce over meatloaf. Bake 15 minutes lonber.
Serves 6.
