Pat's Honey Barbecue Meatloaf Recipe

  • 1 tsp. beef bouillon granules
  • 1 tblsp. hot water
  • 1 egg, slighlty beaten
  • 1/2 cup quick-cooking oats
  • 1/3 cup honey barbecue sauce, your favorite brand
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 tblsp. brown sugar
  • 1 tblsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tblsp. prepared mustard
  • 1/2 tsp.garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 to 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
  • Ketchup


In a large bowl, dissolve bouillon in water. Stir in egg, oats, barbecue sauce, onion, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, garlic powder, salt, pepper and chili powder. Add ground beef and mix well. Press into an ungreased 8-in. x 4-in. loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 1 hour. Spread ketchup over top of the meat loaf. Bake 10 minutes longer or until meat is no longer pink and meat thermometer reads 160°. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
Yield 4-6 servings.

Wonderful Recipe, Member sets1980

I've made this recipe for years. The only meatloaf that doesn't taste like a hunk of ground beef that has been baked. Look forwar to meatloaf instead of avoiding it. Thanks for the great recipe.
