Beef and Noodle Casserole

Beef and noodle casserole recipe with tomatoes and ground beef, along with cheddar cheese and seasonings.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon minced parsley
  • 2 cans (14.5 ounces each) tomatoes
  • 1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 8 ounces noodles
  • 12 ounces shredded mild Cheddar or American cheese
  • 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

Preparation:

Brown ground beef in olive oil; remove with slotted spoon and drain off all but 2 tablespoons fat. Add onion to fat and sauté until tender. Add parsley, tomatoes, tomato sauce, seasonings, and ground beef. Cover and simmer for 1 hour. Cook noodles in boiling, salted water following package directions. Drain and rinse with hot water. In greased baking dish, alternate layers of noodles, cheeses, and the sauce.

Bake at 350° until bubbly and cheese is melted. Serves 6.

Kinda soggy but good.August 10, 2009By Garciaboy15
"It's basically spaghetti in a casserole dish. The directions called for taking it out of the oven once it started boiling, and when I did that, the whole dish was soggy. I don't know if it's supposed to be like that, since there is no picture, but it's still good. ^_^ Four stars to Ms. Diana Rattay ^_^"
