I was searching a simple recipe for spiced nuts and one that didn't require egg white. I made this today while working from home. Easy and delicious, however, I made a few substitutions. I didn't have exactly a pound of pecans, so I substituted peanuts and almonds. Instead of the two peppers, I added one tablespoon cayenne and for the garlic, one fresh garlic clove. Lastly, I tossed in a bit of brown sugar and let them roast in the crockpot for an hour or two.
