Ingredients:
- 1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1/3 cup peanut butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup light or dark corn syrup
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Preparation:
Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside. In a large mixing bowl, beat together shortening and peanut butter; add sugar and cream until light and fluffy. Blend in corn syrup; add egg and vanilla and beat until light. Blend in sifted dry ingredients, mixing well. Shape dough into small balls; place on greased baking sheets and flatten with tines of a fork. Bake at 375° for 10 to 12 minutes.
