Blushing Pears with Cinnamon Candies

Blushing pears recipe with red hots cinnamon candies and syrup.

Cook Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 4 to 6 medium pears, firm, ripe
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon red hots

Preparation:

Wash pears. Leaving stems on, peel to within 1 inch of bottom. Stand pears in a deep baking dish.

Combine sugar and water; pour over pears. Sprinkle with cinnamon candies. Cover and bake at 375°, basting every 10 minutes, for 30 to 40 minutes, or until pears are tender. Serve warm with cream or ice cream.
Pear dessert serves 4 to 6.
