Pecan Pie Bars

Pecan pie bars are made with pecans, brown sugar, butter, molasses, and other ingredients.

Cook Time: 25 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • .
  • Filling:
  • 4 eggs
  • 2/3 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup dark corn syrup
  • 1/3 cup molasses
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups pecan halves

Preparation:

Beat together butter and 1/2 cup brown sugar. Stir in flour and baking powder until crumbly.

Press mixture into a buttered 9x13x2-inch baking pan. Bake at 350° for 12 to 15 minutes.

In a mixing bowl, beat eggs; stir in 2/3 cup brown sugar, corn syrup, molasses, and flour. Blend well. Stir in the pecan halves. Pour filling over hot baked crust. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes.
