Fruit Soup

Crockpot soup recipe, made with dried fruit, pineapple, apples, and spices.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 small pkg. (6 ounces) mixed dried fruit or 1 1/2 cups of your choice dried fruit
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1 small can pineapple chunks with juice
  • 1 large Granny Smith apple, coarsely chopped
  • 3 cups apple juice or orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Cinnamon stick, broken up
  • 2 to 3 whole cloves
  • 1/2 tsp. powdered ginger
  • 1 cup water

PREPARATION:

Dump all ingredients into a crockpot the night before you plan to serve; mix well, and cook on low all night (7 to 9 hours). Add other frozen or canned fruits, if desired. Remove cloves and cinnamon stick pieces before serving.
Serves 4 to 6.
