Pork loin chops are grilled with homemade barbecue sauce.
Ingredients:
- 6 pork chops, 1-inch thick
- salt
- 1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 teaspoon (or more) hot sauce (Tabasco, etc.)
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Preparation:
Sprinkle pork chops with a little salt. Grill pork chops over medium coals for 35 minutes, turning once.
Meanwhile, make barbecue sauce. In small saucepan, combine tomato sauce, water, onion, ketchup, hot sauce, sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and
salt. Bring sauce to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes. Brush pork chops with sauce; grill 5 minutes. Turn, brush the other side, and gill 5 minutes longer.
Pass remaining sauce with pork chops. Makes 6 servings.

lovely mouth watering goodness!December 08, 2009By puballday
"Tried this tonight, with the following alterations (for convenience)... *pork chops were done on george forman grill instead of a coal fire *i served it on a plate of white rice, with 2x small pork chops (boneless) in middle, with the sauce poured on top. So, with those slight alterations, my review reflects how it went for me. This is one of the tastiest pork dishes i have ever tried! I suck at cooking, cant do it. However this for me was so simple even i found it easy! The sauce compliments the pork perfectly, however i recommend a bit more of a generous serving of the hot sauce than 1/4 teaspoon as advised, so i just put a dollop in :D Great thing about this dish it its totally healthy and great if your on a diet! Optional tip: if you are trying to cut out the fat in your diet, then theres nothing wrong with cutting off the fat off the chops before or after cooking, like i did :) Top marks definitely recommend this!"
