These tasty pork chops are easy to make with an appetizing tomato and chile pepper sauce. This flavorful seasoned sauce goes well with baked or mashed potatoes, along with your favorite side vegetables or a salad.

  • 4 large shoulder pork chops
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 cans (14.5 ounces each) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (4 ounces) mild chopped green chile peppers
  • 2 large onions, quartered and sliced
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried leaf oregano
  • 2 teaspoons sugar

These were very good and a nice change for pork chops. It would be an excellent recipes for chicken and even steak too. If you like flavorful seasoning I recommend putting some extra chili powder, pepper, and salt (to taste) on top the pork chops the last few minutes of cooking before serving.
