Sour Cream Pork Chops Recipe

These great-tasting pork chops are cooked in the skillet then served with a savory sour cream gravy.

Ingredients:

  • 4 center cut pork chops, about 3/4 inch thick
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 8 ounces sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 teaspoons prepared mustard
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 onion, sliced into rings
  • 1 cup sour cream

Preparation:

Brown pork chops in oil in skillet; add mushrooms the last 3 to 4 minutes. Mix broth, mustard, parsley, paprika, and salt and pepper; place onion rings on pork chops then pour broth mixture over all. Simmer for about 1 hour, until chops are tender. Add the sour cream and cook just until hot. Serve with hot cooked noodles or rice.
Serves 4.

I went with the 4 oz mushrooms assuming the double listing was an error. I also sautÚd them with the onions, subbing olive oil. For a twist try jalapeno mustard or honey mustard. The wine & cooking in a crock pot sounds good too. The recipe didn't specify an oven temp so I used 375░.
