By , About.com Guide

These spareribs are roasted with a sauce of orange juice, garlic, and Worcestershire sauce.

Ingredients:

  • 4 pounds spareribs
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 small can (6oz) frozen orange juice concentrate, undiluted
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

Preparation:

Salt and pepper the ribs; place them, meaty side down, in a shallow pan. Roast in 450° oven for 30 minutes. Drain off fat, turn the ribs, and roast an additional 30 minutes. Drain off fat again. Combine remaining ingredients; brush on the ribs. Reduce the oven temperature to 350°. Cover the ribs with foil and roast for 1 hour, or until tender, basting occasionally with the sauce.
