This seasoned pork roast couldn't be easier! Season the roast, pop it in the oven, and roast to perfection. This is wonderful with mashed or baked potatoes and green beans or your favorite vegetable side dish.

Cook Time: 2 hours

Total Time: 2 hours

Yield: Serves 6 to 8

Ingredients:

  • 4 to 5-pound pork loin roast
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • pepper, to taste

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 425°. Place roast in a rack in shallow roasting pan. Rub all sides with cut pieces of garlic. Sprinkle all sides of roast evenly with seasoned salt and a little pepper. Roast uncovered for about 20 to 25 minutes per pound, or until internal temperature of the roast is at least 145° to 160°. Let the roast rest for 10 to 15 minutes before slicing.

Finally! A pork roast recipe even I can manage!, Member oneredhen

Thank you for posting this recipe! My family has endured years of lousy roasts. I was finally able to make a roast that was done, no pink inside, yet juicy. The flavor was fantastic, I followed the recipe but added lots of onion powder too. After letting it rest for about 15 minutes I sliced it into 1/2 inch slices and for the first time, no steak knives were needed with our plates. This came out fork tender. Even the leftovers heated in the microwave the next day retained their juicyness. I'm really looking forward to my next pork roast now.
