- 3 tablespoons shortening
- salt and pepper to taste
Slice potatoes. Heat shortening in a large skillet; add potatoes. Cook until potatoes are golden brown on one side; turn and brown the other side. Sprinkle fried potatoes with salt and pepper to taste.
