Creamed New Potatoes

Creamed new potatoes are easy to make, with butter, flour, milk, and seasonings.

Ingredients:

  • 6 medium potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • salt and pepper
  • paprika

Preparation:

Cook potatoes in boiling salted water until tender. In a saucepan, melt butter over low heat; blend in flour until smooth. Gradually stir in milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Drain cooked potatoes; transfer to a serving dish. Pour sauce over potatoes and sprinkle with paprika.
Serves 4 to 6.
