Excellent homemade taste, Member dkvietzke

These potatoes were wonderful in flavor and texture. Not a lot of added stuff - just good home ingredients. I will definitely be making these again. I saw this recipe on another site that suggested that the milk, cheese, butter, salt and pepper be heated before adding to the potatoes. I put them all in a Pyrex measuring cup and heated them for 1 1/2 min in the micro till steaming. It also suggested that the hot cooked potatoes and garlic be run through a ricer first which I didn't have, but I did mash them well with a hand masher before I processed them in the mixer. I used the pre-grated Parmesan (Kraft) so I imagine these would taste even better with Parmigiano-Reggiano.
