Serve these tasty potatoes as part of a hearty breakfast, or serve as a dinner dish.

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Total Time: 10 minutes

Yield: Serves 4


  • 4 cups potatoes, diced
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • paprika, to taste
  • salt and pepper, to taste


Cook diced potatoes in boiling water for about 4 minutes, until just a bit tender but not cooked. Drain potatoes and toss with onions. Heat butter medium heat in a heavy skillet; add potatoes and onions. Fry, bringing potatoes up from bottom of pan with a spatula occasionally for even cooking and browning. Season to taste with paprika, salt and pepper.
Serves 4.

an old favorite, Member Dynamo13

I've loved skillet fried potatoes since I was a kid. Only my family added a drizzle of catsup a few minutes before serving. I imagine substituting picante sauce would give it a spicy Mexican touch.
