Perfect Pumpkin Pie

This great tasting pumpkin pie is a classic, made with fresh or canned pumpkin puree and a variety of spices.

Cook Time: 55 minutes

Total Time: 55 minutes


  • 1 cup pumpkin pureé, canned or fresh cooked
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 3 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 cup half-and-half
  • 1 9-inch pastry shell, unbaked


Combine pumpkin, sugar, salt, and spices. Add beaten eggs and half-and-half. Blend well. Pour pumpkin mixture into prepared pie shell. BAke at 450° for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 325°; bake 45 minutes longer, or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean.

OMG this is the best recipe...I used fresh pumpkin and I did change out the white sugar for organic brown and I used organic half and half it was perfect :)
