This pumpkin crunch dessert is made with canned or fresh mashed pumpkin, eggs, walnuts, bread crumbs, and butter.

Ingredients:
- 1 cup cooked mashed or canned pumpkin
- 2/3 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 slightly beaten egg yolks
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup soft bread crumbs
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
Preparation:
Combine pumpkin, sugar, spices, egg yolks, and salt; stir in walnuts, bread crumbs, milk, and butter. Fold in egg whites. Turn into individual baking dishes or custard cups. Set dishes in a pan of hot water. Bake at 350° for 1 hour, or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean. Serve with whipped cream or whipped topping.
