Ingredients:
- greens
- 1 onion
- 4 slices bacon
Preparation:
I normally cook mustard greens in 4 cups of water on medium heat. The amount of water depends on the amount of greens, but as long as you have about 2 inches about them, you're fine. Dice one onion and fry about 4 pieces of bacon; save the bacon grease. Crumble the bacon; add to the pot of greens. Take the remaining grease and stir in the onions; toss around just little. Once they start getting soft and a little brown on the edges, put those with the greens and bacon in the pot, Simmer for about 20 minutes if you want really tender greens.Shared by WVHILLBILLY1
