Ingredients:
- 3 cups boiling chicken broth
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 1/2 cups long grain rice, uncooked
- 1/2 cup slivered almonds
- 3 tablespoons butter
Preparation:
Combine boiling broth, salt, and rice in an ungreased 2 1/2-quart casserole or baking dish. Cover tightly with foil or lid, and bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes or until liquid is completely absorbed and rice is tender. Meanwhile, lightly brown almonds in the butter. Add almonds and butter to hot baked rice; toss to blend well.Baked rice recipe serves 6.
