Southwestern Round Steak

This Southwestern style round steak is marinated then broiled or grilled.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup red wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons steak sauce
  • 1/2 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 medium clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon leaf thyme, crumbled
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 1/2 pounds round steak or flank steak

Preparation:

In a non-reactive dish or pan, combine oil, vinegar, steak sauce, onion, garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper. Add steak to marinade; cover and refrigerate for several hours or overnight. Broil or grill steak, basting frequently with marinade.
Serves 6.
