French Salad Dressing Recipe

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice or vinegar
  • 1 1/4 cups olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • dash cayenne

Preparation:

Whisk together all ingredients in a mixing bowl or shake in a jar. Makes about 2 cups of French dressing.

Misleading title-NOT 'French' at all.April 13, 2009By Pianokitty
"This is just a variation on oil and vinegar dressing, NOT French in any sense of the word. Instead of vinegar, it uses lemon juice. Big deal. the cayenne is too much bite. Use regular black pepper.."
