Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup soft bread crumbs
- 2 hard-cooked eggs, chopped
- 1 cup half-and-half
- salt and pepper
- 1 can (4 ounces) sardines in oil, drained
- buttered toast, 4 slices
- paprika
- chopped parsley
Preparation:
In saucepan over medium low heat, melt butter; add crumbs, eggs, and half-and-half. Heat thoroughly and season with salt and pepper to taste. Put sardines on a baking pan; broil for about 5 minutes. Arrange sardines on toast and spoon egg mixture over them. Sprinkle with paprika and chopped parsley.Serves 2.
