This quick and easy sauce is made with just a few ingredients, and it has better, fresher flavor than purchased prepared cocktail sauce. It's easy, tasty, and the perfect sauce to serve with seafood appetizer puffs, shrimp, or fried seafood.

Yield: Makes About 1 1/2 Cups


  • 1 cup chili sauce
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • dash freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 (scant) teaspoon salt


Combine all ingredients; mix well to blend. Store in a covered jar or other covered container in the refrigerator. Chill thoroughly before serving.

Use this flavorful sauce as a dip for fried seafood, boiled or grilled shrimp, crabs, seafood appetizer puffs, or other seafood. Offer this dip along with Tartar Sauce and a Mustard Dip
Makes about 1 1/2 cups of cocktail sauce.
