Creole Sauce Recipe for Fish or Chicken

A Creole sauce recipe with tomatoes and green bell pepper, along with onion and seasonings.

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons chopped pimiento
  • 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Preparation:

Brown onion and green pepper in oil. Add remaining ingredients; simmer for 15 to 20 minutes. Serve over fish or chicken.
Makes 1 1/2 cups of Creole sauce.
