Skillet Beans with Smoked Sausage

Use kielbasa, Polish sausage, andouille, chorizo, or turkey smoked sausage in this easy meal.

Cook Time: 25 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup green bell pepper
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/2 to 1 pound smoked sausage, cut into 1-inch slices
  • 1 can (14 ounces) garbanzo beans, drained
  • 1 large can (approximately 32 ounces) pork and beans in tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce

Preparation:

Directions for beans and sausage recipe
Combine all ingredients in a large skillet. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Uncover and simmer for 5 minutes longer. Serves 6. Serve with coleslaw or potato salad. Beans with smoked sausage recipe serves 6.
