Ingredients:
- 1 cup butter
- 1/3 cup powdered sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 cups flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup grated almonds
Preparation:
Cream butter; add sugar and beat well. Beat in egg. Stir in dry ingredients and almonds. Knead mixture for 5 minutes, then shape into a roll about 1 inch in diameter. Wrap in waxed paper and chill for 4 to 6 hours. Cut in thin slices. Bake at 400° for 8 to 10 minutes.Makes about 4 to 5 dozen.
