Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 1/2 cups long-grain white rice
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 2 3/4 cups beef broth
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • dash Tabasco sauce
  • 1 to 1 1/2 pounds medium to large shrimp, peeled and cleaned
  • 1 can or jar (4 ounces) mushrooms, drained
  • 2 tablespoons fresh minced parsley
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons finely chopped green onion

"This would be a fabulous receipe if the step regarding the rice was not missing. I questioned the rice being cooked in the pan for such a short period but followed the instructions and ruined my dish. The receipe should say 1 1/4 cup of pre-cooked/cooked long grain rice. The cooking time given is not enough to cook the rice. So Please cook your rice first and then follow the instructions and it is probably a wonderful dish."
