Pork Chops With Apple Jelly and Mustard Sauce

These pork chops are super flavorful  and so easy to prepare with the simple mustard and apple jelly sauce. Serve these chops with rice or noodles, along with a tossed salad or sliced fresh tomatoes and cucumbers.

Cook Time: 30 minutes

Total Time: 40 minutes

Yield: Serves 4


  • 4 bone-in pork chops, about 1/2 to 1 inch thick
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1/2 cup apple jelly
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons grainy mustard
  • 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar


Combine the apple jelly, cinnamon, mustard, and vinegar, blending well; set aside.

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sprinkle the chops with salt and pepper and arrange in the pan with the sliced onion. Stir the onions frequently and brown the chops on both sides, about 8 to 10 minutes total cooking time. Spoon the jelly mixture over the chops, reduce heat to low, cover, and cook for about 20 to 25 minutes, until the chops are cooked through and tender.

Serves 4.
