Spaghetti sauce recipe with lean ground beef and mushrooms and Parmesan cheese.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cans (14.5 ounces each) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano, or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon basil, or to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, or to taste
  • 1 green pepper, cut in chunks
  • 1 pound spaghetti, cooked and drained
  • grated Parmesan cheese

"This was a great recipe when followed (the other two reviewers altered the recipe and weren't quite as happy). My family went crazy for this sauce. I added extra brown sugar, because I like a sweet sauce, but otherwise I didn't change the recipe and it was great!"
