Recipe Suggestions for a Super Bowl Party or Gathering

Whether you're celebrating Super Bowl day with lots of friends and family or enjoying the game with your immediate family or closest friends, you'll want to serve some special appetizers and dishes. Here are some of my favorite game day recipes, along with links to more. Enjoy!

1. Barbecued Beef Pizza

This delicious pizza is so easy to make with purchased or homemade pizza dough, leftover roast beef, barbecue sauce, and cheese, along with other toppings.

2. Ground Beef and Black Bean Chili

This flavorful chili is delicious with your favorite cornbread, or serve it with the Savory Corn Waffles or Texas Sour Cream Corn Muffins.

3. Glazed Sausage Bites

Delicious glazed sausage bites can be kept warm and served from a chafing dish or slow cooker.

4. Game Day Nachos

Arrange and bake these nachos on an ovenproof platter or shallow baking dish, or use several smaller baking dishes or ovenproof plates.

5. Pulled Pork Sandwiches

Prepare the pulled pork the day before, and then keep it hot in the slow cooker so your guests can make their own sandwiches. Serve with big split buns, slaw, and fries, with barbecue sauce on the side.

This is a great chili to enjoy on a cold winter day. Serve this chili with fresh baked cornbread or crusty rolls.

7. Broiled Barbecued Chicken Wings

Try these tasty chicken wings with a homemade barbecue sauce, and serve extra sauce on the side.

8. Tangy Cocktail Franks

Double this recipe for a big gathering on game day, and feel free to use regular cocktail franks or regular hot dogs, cut in 1-inch pieces. Little Smokies would be tasty in this recipe, too.

9. Chile Con Queso Cheese Dip

10. Stuffed Mushrooms With Ham

These are made with ham, but feel free to use diced cooked bacon or sausage instead. These make a great hot finger food for the game!
