Jo's Snickerdoodle Pinwheels


These tasty butter and cream cheese cookies are filled with a cinnamon-sugar mixture.


  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 (3 oz.) pkg cream cheese
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 2 2/3 cups flour

  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon


Cream butter, cream cheese and sugar until fluffy, add egg and beat well. Add sifted dry ingredients and mix well. Divide in half and chill. Roll out 1 at a time to 8"x12". Spread each portion with 1/2 tablespoon melted butter and then sprinkle with 1/4 cup sugar and half of the cinnamon. Roll up tightly and freeze until very firm. Cut into 1/4-inch slices and bake at 375° for 8 to 10 minutes.
