Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup bacon drippings or lard
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 2 teaspoon each ground cinnamon, ginger and cloves
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups white flour
