Use pecan or almond halves to top these tasty cookies.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 1/2 cups sifted flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Preparation:

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugars until light. Beat in egg. Sift together the flour, salt, soda, and cinnamon; stir into the creamed mixture. Bake at 400° for about 10 minutes, until golden brown.
