These jumbles cookies contain raisins, butter, walnuts, and other ingredients.

Cook Time: 12 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter, room temperature
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 3/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 350°. In a large mixing bowl, beat butter until creamy; beat in sugar until well light. Beat in egg until mixture is light and fluffy, about 2 minutes; add vanilla. In another bowl, combine flour and cinnamon. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and beat until well blended. Stir in raisins and nuts. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto a buttered cookie sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Cool.
Makes about 2 dozen cookies.
