Cook Time: 55 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 cup cornmeal, stone ground if possible
- 2 cups cold water
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 cup milk
- 2 large eggs, well beaten
- 2 tablespoons butter or bacon drippings
Preparation:
Mix cornmeal, water, and salt together in a saucepan. Boil 5 minutes, stirring. Add milk, eggs, and butter; mix well. Pour batter into well-greased hot pan or baking dish. Bake 50 minutes at 375°. Serve from dish.
