Mississippi Sweet Potato Pie

"This was my first ever sweet potato pie (not a common pie in Europe), and I loved it. I reduced the sugar by two fifths, because American recipes are always too sweet for me. Will reduce by half next time - it's still just a tad too sweet. And I was feeling adventurous, so I added 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg, as someone suggested, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt, as someone else said, and then I also added 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger and 1/4 teaspoon cardamom. Must say the end result exceeded all expectation. This printout is going into my recipes folder with a gold star in the margin. Delicious."
