Cook Time: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
- 2 cans (about 7 ounces each) white tuna
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme, crumbled
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1/4 cup finely chopped celery
- 1 1/2 cups frozen cut green beans, cooked (about 10 ounces)
- buttered bread crumbs for topping, optional
Preparation:
Drain tuna and break up. Heat butter in a saucepan; stir in flour and seasonings. Gradually add milk. Cook, stirring, until thickened. Add tuna and vegetables; mix well. Pour mixture into a shallow 1 1/2 quart baking dish. If desired, top with buttered bread crumbs. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.Serves 6.
