Spinach With Hazelnuts


Chopped hazelnuts add flavor and crunch to this simple sauteed spinach. 


  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 pounds fresh leaf spinach, washed and dried
  • 1/2 cup chopped hazelnuts
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • dash garlic powder
  • salt and pepper, to taste


Heat butter in a large deep skillet; do not brown. Add spinach and saute, stirring constantly, until wilted. Add hazelnuts and stir to combine. Stir in soy sauce, and a dash of garlic powder. Taste and add salt and pepper, as needed.

Serves 6.
